Day 13: Brentford to Richmond

We did it (part 1 of 3): Closing off the Brentford to Richmond loop

Despite working/living very close to this part, we've been meaning to "tick it off" for quite some time now, after abandoning the Greenford to Richmond walk at Brentford back in 2014.

After work, we met at Brentford station and walked passed GSK house, along the canal and through Brentford.

Syon park was a nice treat, familiar to Eleanor, but new to me.

From here we exited to Isleworth which has a lovely village feel.

After stopping for dinner at the Town Wharf, we continued along Richmond Lock, which was a delightful piece of Victorian engineering, designed to keep the river westwards free from tides.

We met up with where we finished the Earlsfield to Richmond walk back in 2015 and treated ourselves to coffee and a pudding before heading home.
